I am a recent graduate from the University of Brighton with a degree in product design (Bsc). I achieved a 1st class hons which I am very proud of but am now ready to actually apply myself in an engaging real world industry. I received most outstanding student project for my final year work and was selected to exhibit at London Design festival on behalf of the university. I have experience working in a PR firms design team so knowledge about the environment and sector. I also worked as head of marketing and branding for my course at university in final year, running and producing all social media content as well as the branding guidelines, designing product launches, printed material, signage and more.
I am comfortable using Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and have started to teach myself After Effects. I am eager to learn and work to produce great creative content. I am also based within commuting distance to London,

After displaying work at New Designers Exhibition in London I was selected to intern at Blaze. Blaze are producers of laser lights attached to Santander bikes across London.
Over the course of the internship I performed a number of tasks. Small research projects were undertaken looking into existing competitor products and how to improve the Blaze range.
Other tasks included producing rapid prototypes for client pitches. This involved using CAD solidworks to produces 3d models for 3D printing. After 3D printing each design I then finished each prototype for use in models and pitches.
Lastly graphic design for pitches and clients were also produced to a high standard using Illustrator and indesign.

Head Group LeaderCamp Beaumont Day Camps

As a Head Group Leader I had responsibilities across a specific age range which changed from week to week. Working with 5 year olds through to teenagers allowed me to understand different dynamics and interests in different age ranges.
As well as organising, running and taking part in enjoyable activities, I was responsible for ensuring child safety (of up to 30+ children) at all times during the day. Along with is key responsibility I was also responsible for day to day registration and liaising with individual parents to resolve issues or any other requirements.
Through the day I would be in constant contact with management to ensure child welfare and also be kept in loop of any important throughout the day. I also would have several members of staff to instruct and aid me in running activities and ensuring children were having and enjoyable time.
Though just a summer job, this position taught me a lot about handling conflict, problem solving and adaptability.
