About me

I have a Bachelors degree in English and Creative Writing, and a Masters degree in Professional Writing. I work as a Content and Social Media Manager, and am looking for more freelance projects to work with more great brands. My work history: I've worked as a digital marketing executive for a collection of Cornish art galleries, a copywriter in a fast-paced agency, and also have a strong background in writing for the financial sector. In 2017 I achieved a Masters degree in Professional Writing, which has helped to develop my writing skills in more ways than my English and Creative Writing degree allowed. Additionally, I have undertaken a range of freelance work (varying from web copy, social media campaigns, business journal and thought leadership articles, blogging, and novel editing) which has enabled me to learn and write about a wide range of topics. Since completing my MA, I plan to study a PhD in writing to understand my field further. My roles have involved a lot of SEO and work with Google Analytics in order to monitor which campaigns and articles have been successful. I've also worked to create widespread campaigns that span across websites, social media, advertising, and PR pieces. My writing interests: I write a host of fiction in my spare time - I'm currently working on a novel and hold a collection of short stories, poetry (both written and spoken word), and food blogging reviews. I also enjoy editing content for others and have proofread and helped re-work novels, short stories, poetry, and many other non-fiction pieces.
