About me
A textile design artist with a focus in print, dye and pattern
making. I am well organised, motivated and eager to learn new skills and crafts. I
have a keen interest in traditional and natural techniques of colour
application. With the skills I gained in my degree and in further natural
fabric dyeing workshops and classes, I am looking to develop my
knowledge and experience in not just the textiles industry but in any field that can expand my abilities and approaches as a creator.

Education

B
• Bachelor of Arts Second Class Honours (First Division) Birmingham CIty Univeristy
- Birmingham, United Kingdom
During my time on this course I developed my ability to conduct myself in a
professional manner when liasing with companies; Working to trend forecasts with
Colour Hive, I created responses to client briefs and design competitions from
design companies.
I learnt to manage my time efficiently, being more independent and working to
tight deadlines to create full projects. I also enjoyed the collaborative nature of
the course, with the opportunity to regularly offer feedback to peers and act on
constructive criticism that I received in return. I completed my dissertation with a
focus on colour history and perception which sparked my continuing interest in
the subject.
Foundation Diploma in Art and DesignDe Montfort University
- Leicester, United Kingdom
During my diploma I developed self expression through various disciplines such as
screen printing, life drawing, photography, film, sculpting, glass etching, lino
printing, digital designing, metal manipulation, fabric dyeing, working from trend
forecasts and professionally displaying a finished project.
