As a bookseller, the most important part of my job involves people. I deliver excellent service to my customers, be it through finding the titles they're looking for to recommending them books I believe they will love or by pointing them in the right direction if I am unable to help with their request. Other tasks this job requires of me include merchandising displays, putting products on the shop floor, pricing up stock, etc... I stay up to date with the publishing industry through a range of mediums - first and foremost, the book community online is a brilliant resource. I also make use of the tools available to me at work.
