About me
Recently graduated from the University of Kent with a 2:1 in Event Design and Management. The course offered events management as its core but also required a passion and understanding for the arts and design. After graduating went on to intern at several companies around London to develop administrative, planning and marketing abilities to the high standard needed in the events industry. Seven focused around Marketing strategy, especially social media marketing and the creation of visual content for Instagram, Facebook and Newsletters. Whilst One Big Night Out One of these was at One Big Night Out, during my time here I developed my communication skills by networking with local businesses. Also had administrative duties like monitoring the One Big Night Out inbox and dealing with enquires via email, telephone and Zopim. Then most recently worked as an events assistant at London Oktoberfest developing my administrative skills further. Worked as part of the core events team in the busy 3 month build up to the festivals opening. Had daily duties such as managing the Oktoberfest inbox and dealing with client and contractors enquires. Looking to secure a position in the events industry, where I can develop my core skill set further and become a valuable member of a team.
Projects
  • Premise
PremiseFor our final degree show we had to collaborate as a class to create a innovative exhibition to showcase selected work we had produced over the 3 years. I volunteered to contribute towards the graphic design and marketing of the event. The advertisement for the event had to reflect the creative nature of our course whilst remaining simple to reflect the gallery style we chose to exhibit our work in.
  • Another Chapter
Another ChapterThe brief for this project was to create an invite and a catalogue for 'another chapter', an exhibition featuring site specific installations and performances. The exhibition took place at fort amherst meaning many of the pieces took inspiration from the stories linked to the site. The concept for the designs come from this idea of stories from the past. Originally we came up with the name 'another chapter' in response to the exhibition being a new story for the site. This then evolved into the idea of the catalogue being like a scrap book of documents and photos from the past. Each piece in the exhibition has its own corresponding document, for example 'wonder' is a piece about wanting to escape the fort so the entry in the catalogue is inspired by postcards and travelling letters.
