An aspiring costume and fashion designer currently doing her MA in Myth, Cosmology and the Sacred, hoping to gain some more inspiration from esoteric and sacral topics. My previous work experience as costume designer, wardrobe assistant and make up designer on different musicals during my undergraduate course (Cabaret, Thoroughly Modern Millie) and being costume designer assistant on Vivo D’Arte’s The Wiz gave me a chance to design and bring to life some of my first costumes. Working in the theatre and on burlesque events taught me how to stay calm and work well under pressure, come up with creative ways of fixing things, pay attention to details, be very organised and open-mindedly approach different projects and ideas, which in the end helps to get the best possible results. Working in restaurants and in publishing business made me improve my communication and social media skills, as well as build up my confidence which in return helps me when dealing with groups of people or my own customers. My goal for the future is to expand my portfolio and keep on working with clothing, so that I can one day make my own shop and work as a costume designer in films.
