I am extremely passionate about photography and have a huge ambition to work within the fashion photography industry. I am really keen to learn the ins and outs of the industry. I am very self motivated and adapt to new situations very quickly. I am also practical in a hands on way meaning I can step in at various points whenever I could be needed on set. I am great with people and would be extremely welcoming and helpful to those coming into the studio.
Working as a freelance event photographer across the country. Covering weddings, parties, club nights and festivals. This is a great way of me to enhance my general photography skills in a range of settings that are completely out of my control. Has taught me to deal with tight deadlines, dealing with clients as well as to have good people skills.
An assistant in the studio for Jon while shooting his Fred Perry campaign. This required lighting set ups and file organisation, as well as any other errands that needed attending too. An assistant while out on a personal portrait project of Jon's in Kent. Required outdoor setting up of lighting and back drops. The models had never been professionally photographed before so therefore this required me to use my people skills and make them more at ease in front of the camera and explain the projects ideas and thoughts.
2:1 BA (Hons) in Photojournalism. The degree allowed me to enhance my skill combining written work and images as well as the graphical layout. The three years also developed my independent learning and finely tuned my interests within photography. The degree gave me hands on experience in the studio, a wide range of photographic experience and the use of various software systems.
This gave me overall experience of studying within the arts and made me realise that photography was my one true passion and it was that I wanted to go on to study further.
