About me

Beatriz Temudo is a 25-year-old Portuguese Visual Artist that has recently graduated from Bath Spa University with a BA (Hons) degree in Photography. With a passion for design, story telling, moving image and book making her work uses these mediums to translate a poetic exploration of the subject. It communicates the layers that the eye can’t meet landing her works in a very specific niche: in between the documentary and fine art territories. Versatility is the main philosophy to her practice, touching on subjects that range from questioning the notions of the self to the critique of various environmental, political and social issues. Her practice is driven from a desire to bring to the forefront those issues and create questioning and action.

  A.I.D.E.MThis project is a short written and directed by me for university. This work aims to explore the influence of the media on women's everyday life and self-esteem. I want to incite informed discussions about this matter and encourage other people to speak about their experiences. I worked with some incredibly inspiring women on this project and even though it is not perfect, I am extremely proud of what we accomplished together.
