Originally from Melbourne, Australia, now permanently based in London UK since 2008, I am one of those rare Senior Integrated Designers that is also capable of artworking to final print/pixel, meaning I am super organised and fast. That's how we are trained in Australia. With 23 years experience you will find my pasteboards clean, style sheets perfect and my layers named consistently throughout all my design files.
I'm one those amazing creatures that comes from the cusp of Gen X and Millennial who has a rich knowledge of music history and underground subcultures. I resonate most with industries such as exciting active lifestyle brands, branding, campaigns and events for spirits and mixers, RTD / cocktail culture, maximalist interior decor, book cover design, film, alternative style and culture, pro environment and mental health.
I thrive in ethical work places and teams that have clearly communicated anti-bullying practises, no unpaid over time, champion women and minorities while recycling everything possible.
I prefer to work directly with clients taking briefs from concept to completion. Am more a leader than a follower. If you're looking for positive energy, bright personality and a left field approach you've found it!
DJ for over 19 years internationally. Italo disco, 80s, melodic house and techno, synthwave, post-punk, rock, trip-hop, old school hip hop electro and more - un-pigeon-hole-able.
Projects
- Neurodivergent Moments Podcast LogoThe client approached me with a rudimentary sketch of a brain with a lightening bolt in it and asked if I could turn it into a logo with the podcast title involved somehow. As soon as I saw it I had a vision of how the text would look - juicy within the brain shape. I created this look by hand drawing it on paper into an outline of the brain shape, then retracing it on my computer. Client was very happy with the outcome.
- Outrun The Sun UKBranding for an all day mini music festival featuring 8 live acts and 2 DJs playing music from the synthwave genre. I designed everything for this festival, the print and digital campaign. I also managed it and produced it along with staff from the venue in Derby, UK. I also DJed at this event. You could call this a personal passion project, full creative control producing the best visual outcomes. The event was successful - made the venue £6k.
