I am a visual artist and illustrator who studied MA Illustration and Visual Media in UAL, London College of Communication, born in Istanbul and current working/living in London. My work is inspired by poems, which reflect intimate feelings and love. Some of my recent works draw critical attention to the way in which people express their own self romantically in the modern age.
To illustrate such an abstract subject, I choose to use the traditional technique, blind embossing, with a contemporary approach and process.
I also work with aquarelle and ink painting, which are aimed to communicate intimacy and give it a broader context in terms to tactility and texture facilitating the communication of intimacy through layers.
Recently my work was displayed in the London Illustration Fair 2016 and other fairs with Made in Arts London, an initiative by UAL to promote young artists.
I have also worked extensively to create hand made visuals for an awarded game called Tacenda, which was one of the finalists of Dare To Be Digital Competition, 2016 in Dundee. Me along with my team, Fini Fugu && Friends had the chance to exhibit the game at the festival.
Recent exhibitions in Istanbul exhibited my work as a part of group exhibitions like “Mindscapes” in HallArts and “Transition” in artnivo.com. Also, I was selected as one of the artists to be featured at Art Maze Mag, issue 1-2017.

- MindscapesMindscapes, a group exhibition zooming into the imaginary settings created by 13 artists. The exhibition took place at the Sofa Hotel Nişantaşı in 2016. It presented a selection of illustrations and artworks by Aslı Smith, Belmin Pilevneli, Ceren Bulut C.M. Kösemen, Dünya Atay, Göksu Gül, Gülce Baycık, Nazlı Eda Noyan, Özge Samancı, SENA, Tuğçe Evirgen and Zeynep Solakoğlu.
