Freelance events, PR and marketing consultant working on a range of projects and events. Working closely with clients to deliver bespoke, tailored solutions and thinking outside the box to deliver a client's business objectives in a unique, exciting and engaging way. Project managed and delivered the FLY Open Air music Festival in September 2016 – with over 2700 people in attendance.
PR Account Manager looking after PR, media relations and brand campaigns for clients such as AG Barr, Famous Grouse, Stewart Milne Homes & Mountain Bike World Cup, delivering successful PR campaigns and sponsorship activations at a national level. Major sponsorship activation work included the IRN-BRU Cup sponsorship, Famous Grouse sponsor activity with Glasgow Warriors and Strathmore Water’s brand ambassador campaign with Scottish Olympic athletes.
Responsible for full management of communications projects and events (including designing publications, video production, social media management, PR and media campaigns) from creative concept development to delivery. I was the main project lead on campaigns including – •Coaching, Officiating & Volunteering Awards (2014 & 15) – Developing comms strategy and plan for awards programme including awards ceremony event, developing award-winners videos, writing social media plan, PR activity to support the overall comms and marketing strategy. •Class of 2014 Coaching conference – Responsible for overall comms strategy, event management and delivery of £80k coaching conference and gala dinner. •Young Ambassadors programme - Organising, managing and delivering six national Young Ambassadors conferences, managing £150k budget and developing comms / social media plans around the events.
Responsible for the overall project management and on-day delivery of all major ‘media moment’ and sponsor launch events; working closely with internal departments and external sponsors and Games partners. I also created and implemented the experiential strategy for the Glasgow 2014 games; designing a full promotional campaign and activating at more than 40 events in the run-up to the Games, recruiting and managing a team of 12 on-day event volunteers and managing a sizeable activation budget. My main deliverables were are follows:- •Writing and developing project plans, run-sheets and budgets for each event, coordinating meetings, organising venue visits and scoping out all event requirements in order to develop and deliver successful events. •Working with key sponsors including Longines, AG Barr and Virgin Media on key major sponsor launch events. •Successfully recruiting, training and managing a team of twelve volunteer Promotions staff, ensuring they are thoroughly prepared before each event and trained up on key campaign messages.
