Since starting in the design industry, I have gained vast experience working in both digital and print disciplines, whilst also managing creative projects from beginning to end. I decided to further myself professionally so studied at the University of Creative Arts (formerly KIAD) whilst working freelance to help pay my tuition fees. For the last 3 years I have worked in-house taking on a wide range of responsibilities, whilst also continuing to develop my personal projects. Through one of these, I successfully built a community via social media, now with over 350,000 users, without spending any money.
Projects credited in
- Vodafone #FirstsA documentary style short film for the Vodafone #Firsts campaign, shot in Budapest over four days, it follows the journey of skateboarders from all over the city, culminating in a mass gathering late in the evening. The project was a collaborative process involving myself as the main editor with assistance from Firecracker's in-house editor, Alex using Avid's collaborative functionality. Vodafone wanted to create a series of films as part for their #Firsts campaign, showing people fulfilling their dreams & doing things they've always wanted to do, for the first time...
Work history
Creative Lead
- Kings Hill, UKFull Time
In 2015, I took the role of Creative Lead at a large insurance company outside of Maidstone in Kent. Working in a team of 4, I was given full control of a wide range of artwork including all marketing merchandise and
broker branded material to help assist external companies sell our products. During my time here, I managed design projects and marketing campaigns of all size, most notably our company re-brand that took place when we were bought out by French insurer Covéa Group. I worked with all areas of the company to ensure that the visual and legal re-brands were completed to a high standard. The project took just under 6 months and resulted in me winning a company-wide award for my achievement. I also worked on product artwork with clients such as John Lewis, CostCo and The Ministry of Defence to make sure our products were up to their strict brand guidelines.
Junior Graphic Designer
- London, United KingdomFull Time
After finishing my degree, I was offered a full-time role at television production company Firecracker Films. Here, I worked on a complete re-brand of the company whilst also working on tender presentations to help turn our ideas into commissioned films. During my time here I worked for a varied range of clients including Channel 4, Vodafone, and Jaguar.
