My role: Consulted and advised on the design and aesthetics for new permanent splash page content for the website. Visualised and designed graphic elements. Millennium TV is a grass roots community, global affairs and lifestyle channel. A multi-faceted platform creating a more complete mosaic of life in the contemporary African Diaspora. My role: Advising on all aspects of the channel's future aesthetic and digital branding. Establishing partnerships with leading cultural organisations, sponsors, brands and agencies. Including: 1:54, the Africa Centre, Vevo, Sofar Sounds, BBC, SOAS, Brand Communications and the British Museum. Acting as an ambassador for the channel in a networking capacity and for potential investment opportunities. Assisting in the development and marketing of the in house CPD (corporate production department) to B2B/ B2C clients. Contributing with targeted copy/ editorial for blog posts and featured content. Updating digital content using Content Management Systems and integrated design tools. Sourcing new content for the arts, discovery, lifestyle and discovery sections of the channel. Contributing to the social media strategy and creating social listening reports. Overseeing freelance production teams (editors, cameramen) in a producer/ art director capacity. Managing budgets, implementation and planning for in house productions and events.
With a focus on painting, the course encompassed an intensive studio practice with critical feedback sessions and Art History. Developed skills in silk screen printing, editing, photography and metal work.
