Hello, I’m Ben – Creative director, graphic designer and lover of beautiful things. I’m creative, typographically talented, hands-on and bloody hard working. I’ve worked for big brands and worked on even bigger. I look up to my peers and have inspired my colleagues. I love great design (of course) but I'm all about the ideas. I create brands and revitalise others. I’ve over 15 years of experience and can turn my hand to most things - especially tight budgets and tighter deadlines.     Newsworks are the marketing body for the news brand industry. Reporting directly to the Executive Chair, my role as Creative Director is to place creativity at the heart of the industry itself though design, storytelling, collaboration and thought-leadership. As part of the senior leadership team, I am responsible for helping to develop, shape and play an integral role in the success of Newsworks’ place within the industry and as part of the broader narrative for news. In my role as Creative Director in also advise on the creative strategy for The Ozone Project – working closely with the CEO and Marketing Communications Director. The Ozone Project is the only transparent and brand safe platform in the UK for programmatic advertising and reaches 99% of the UK digital audience.

    Reporting directly to the CEO, my role as Head of Design was created after selling-in & implementing my vision for an internal ‘creative hub’. I brought in a full-time designer and built up a core network of animators, web developers, creatives, illustrators, copywriters, photographers and videographer. As a result, I was able to cost effectively resource projects and increase the creative output for the business. During this time some of the project highlights included - rebranding the organisation, national ad campaigns, website redesign and animated film - ‘From Newspaper to Newsbrands’.
