Work history

Events Manager

Play Entertainment // MOE Presents

Oct 2011
  • For the past 4 years I have been coordinating and managing a variety of events; club nights, student nights, concerts, cooperate events, charity events and more recently starting up my own monthly live music event. Throughout all the above it has required me to become very self-sufficient, ensuring that all technical; health and safety; financial aspects are achieved and met, as well as executing the event successfully and professionally. In my experiences I have helped build and create brands, through various marketing and PR strategies. Using the World Wide Web, blog sites, radio stations and social media to boost brand awareness of various brands.

Deputy Manager

Sep 2006 - Nov 2015
  • I AM CURRENTLY STILL EMPLOYED BY SAINSBURYS. Through my time in Sainsbury’s I have been based in various stores and, had many roles within the company. My roles within Sainsbury’s Supermarkets have consisted of Checkout Team Leader, Commercial Team Leader, Fresh Foods & Counters Team Leader, Bakery Team Leader and Manager in Training. All roles required me to assist in the day to day running of specific department’s and the store; as well as managing different amounts of colleagues; achieving daily, weekly, monthly financial targets; ensuring colleagues deliver excellent customer service and, communicating to colleagues and other members of management in daily huddles. I moved across to the Convenience sector of Sainsbury’s in October 2012. Successfully being signed off as Store Lead/ Deputy Manager in Training late 2014. In this role I have experienced a fast paced side of retail management. It has also given me a stronger insight into the legal and Human Resources side of retail. Being a Store Lead/ Deputy in Training has required me to run various stores; train colleagues and management; organise store schedules; solve a number of financial issues (e.g. banking, sales, waste, shrinkage and labour); take charge of all compliant and legal documents within the store.
