Currently working for Digital Agency Zone, where I'm on a mission to make truly great and engaging content. Outside of work I have a passion for comedy, and can often be found either watching or performing it in various sticky-floored back rooms of pubs across London. Since the beginning of my MA studies at Central St Martins I have also been involved with writing, directing, acting and editing short films and sketches.
As a senior writer for a digital agency, my role is to produce innovative, and high-quality digital content for a variety of globally recognised brands. My role typically includes: • Creating digital content for both websites and social channels – including research, idea generation, writing and visual concepting, with the ability to turn my hand to a range of subject and styles. • Assisting Editors and Client Creative Director to execute, measure, and evolve media strategies on behalf of our clients. • Taking the primary lead on community managing different social media accounts, ensuring content is posted error free and on time, responding to comments, nurturing key relationships and keeping my eye out for any advantageous agile opportunities. • Assisting the Client Creative Director with research for proposals, briefs and pitches. • Maintaining and growing our social CRM audience database. During my time at Zone I have also been instrumental in setting up the company podcast, of which I am producer and presenter. I am also member of the Internal Communications team, and wrote the weekly internal company newsletter from January 2015 - October 2016.
As an Editorial Assistant I was responsible for planning and creating high standard digital content, for a wide variety of clients. This included acting as a Community Manager / Copywriter for high profile brands and corporations including Unilever, Pure, Tesco, and the Lloyds Banking Group. Strategic thinking, creative planning and fostering strong client relationships are also integral components of my role.
Responsible for the smooth running of the office, I became well known for getting (4 letter word redacted) done. From day-to-day meeting room bookings and answering the phone, to organising travel arrangements, and handling last minute lunch requests for 20 important clients with a cool head, I brought a conscientious, cheerful and intelligent attitude to any task. I also make a mean cup of tea.
As a studio manager for the artist Tom Lewis I was responsible for everything from payroll to project managing and running large-scale solo exhibitions. Alongside providing general administrative assistance (which included managing delivery of orders, payroll, timesheet and VAT returns) I also built and maintained strong relationships with a number of high profile galleries and private buyers, as well as researching collaborative opportunities, and developing a new range of products with the artist.
Headhunted for the position of Account Manager, I was quickly made responsible for the companies largest portfolio of UK schools, and responsible for meeting financial targets through renewal of existing and up-selling of new products. As well as this I would frequently run over-the-phone and in-person training with teachers to fully support usage of the online learning platform. I was also given the additional responsibility of working in conjunction with Croydon Learning Authority, to successfully introduce a new single-sign-in system, which had significant financial and technological implications.
