Between the second and third years of my degree, I took a year abroad to study in Amsterdam. I was able to study aspects of Media Studies which were not available in modules at Sussex, as well as having the opportunity to take classes in other disciplines - such as Dutch Studies, Dutch Literature and American Studies. Beyond the academic side, this year was an incredible chance to immerse myself in another culture, travel to beautiful cities across Europe, and meet and befriend people from all over the world.
