Senior designer role working predominently on the IKEA family account. Editorial design collaboration with the Art editor on the consumer magazine and digital inspiration blog as well as curating the social content. Gained experience with art direction training on a live photoshoot. Managing and training the junior designer and stepping in to help with other client briefs and proposals. Working for August has really enhanced my skill set with the Adobe suite, time management and people skills.
Freelancing for the small team of Maker London was a very enriching experience which enabled me to work closely with a luxury brand strategist and a very talented designer. The projects ranged from bespoke branding for a lifestyle designer to creating a visual identity for particular areas of London, such as North Mayfair. Covering web-design to equisite print projects. This helped me improve my time efficiency and self-motivation as well as client managment and presenting to companies.
Working for both magazines as a Junior designer, featured editorial and layout design, social media management, web design, presentations and advertorial projects. I was lucky to work closely with editorial designer Alex Hunting who was trained by the talented typographic designer Matt Willey.
