Born in Surrey, England, Betty grew up dancing in numerous west end and touring shows. She attended Arts Educational Schools London from age 13 and her passion for photographing people grew from there. Currently based in London, Betty has experience capturing social documentary and fashion/ editorial imagery. Having the opportunity to work with multiple fine art, commercial and design companies to produce compelling imagery for both online, print, and installation.
Shooting predominantly with her Medium format film camera, Betty is infatuated by identity and the fickle nature of concealing and revealing our true selves. Whether this is through the clothing we wear, our personal spaces, or the communities we become associated with or choose to not be a part of.
Highlights of Betty’s career so far include photographing ‘Train Spottings’ director Danny Boyle for the cover of Headliner Magazine, shooting BTS shots for Molly Goddards SS20 collection, and being heavily involved in both London Design Festival and Design Junction (2016-2019).
