I trained as a creative copywriter after winning a scholarship to the School of Communication Arts. Then worked at digital ad agency Poke London for 2 years - where I cracked conceptual briefs across Garnier, L’Oreal & EE accounts.
I was then headhunted to be Creative Lead (and head of content) at trail-blazing travel/tech start-up LuckyTrip where I carved out the brand identity from scratch for a product designed to inspire Millennials and disrupt the travel industry. My role was to live, breathe and expand the brand, and to build a communications strategy which would make LuckyTrip stand out in the highly saturated market of travel, against companies with six figure marketing budgets.
I led a team of writers and designers to create diverse content projects; stories, videos, short form articles, blogs, across the app and social media platforms. In my 2 years 9 months we were featured as the number 1 app on the Apple Appstore 10 times. We grew the social following to 25K with virtually no marketing budget. The strength of the brand, and ability to resonate with a hard to reach audience of millennials attracted major collaborations with travel giants EasyJet and Fleetway. The app’s content is now seen by millions of people internationally.
I flew the nest of LuckyTrip to go travelling and become a yoga teacher, and to go freelance. Lured back in to advertising by appeal of working on lots of different brands - but especially those trying to take on climatechange-plasticinthesea-genderequality-populationcrisis.
I’ve most recently worked at Kindred agency. One of my projects for the Internet Watch Foundation has just gone live (it features a talking wank sock...yep) and I worked on pitches for Ocado & Stella Artois.
On the side I teach yoga and make oil paintings.
