  The Record Players: DJ RevolutionariesA collection of edited interviews put together by myself and Frank Broughton, covering the history of dance music. The original edition was edited, compiled, printed and published by our own company DJhistory.com. We eventually sold the rights in the UK to Virgin Books and, more recently, was published in the USA (in 2018).

  Clubbed: a visual history of UK club cultureI was brought in by graphic designer Rick Banks to write the text for this lavishly illustrated book. We worked together over a period of about four or five months to produce the finished text, while Rick organised both the conceptual side, practical layouts and printing, publishing and distribution. It was shortlisted in the book design category at the D&AD awards in 2018.
• How To DJ (Properly)Co-author (in collaboration with Frank Broughton) of the DJ help manual How To DJ (Properly). The work on this included countless new interviews, original research, picture sourcing and graphic image commissioning, as well as writing and editing the finished manuscript.
• Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, the history of the disc jockeyCo-wrote (in collaboration with Frank Broughton) the acclaimed music history book Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, originally published in 1999 and updated in 2006. The most recent edition, 2019, was published in the US. It has now been translated into numerous languages, most recently a new edition in Spanish and a fresh Russian translation.
• Anthology series on SourcesIan Dewhirst at Demon came up with the original concept for this series, but I was brought into to execute it. We produced ten compilations in total, both on vinyl and CD. I did all of the compiling and sequencing, as well as writing detailed sleevenotes, including original interviews, for each completed project. I worked on this series for almost a whole year, from 2015 through to 2016.
• Spiritland: The Funk & Soul of Blue Eyed RockI came up with the concept for this compilation, as well as compiling and sequencing the music and writing the sleevenotes.

  THE FACEAfter 15 years out of circulation, The Face have returned with an online magazine and print publication. We helped the relaunch by creating a series of digital assets bringing to life editorial content on theface.com and their social channels.
