About me
I experiment with mixed media (oil, ink, water colour, photography and collage) and ditigal technologies (GNU Image manipulation Programme and Processing3 coding language) to create visual essays, reportage illustration and audio visuals. I have a background in Anthropology and an interest in communicating anthropological ideas and ethnographic observations visually to engage, educate and entertain multiple audiences, as well as hopefully open up accessibility to the discipline of anthropology. I believe visual methods of representation, without imposing rigidity of explanation, can work in ways unique from the written text by allowing possibilities for conceptualisation and categorisation to be reshaped and expanded. Other graphics are doodles that mainly direct attention to significant details in everyday life. I also experiment with coding using Processing3 to create live visuals that interact with audio.
