About me
Available for commissions. Having completed my BA (Hons) Graphic Design course at the University of Suffolk my ambition is to build a successful career as a Graphic Designer and creative. I acquired a wide array of skills in creative problem solving at UoS and feel fully equipped for my next step into the design industry. I am a proficient problem solver who enjoys a creative challenge whether it be digital, printed or hand-crafted. I always search for opportunities to broaden my knowledge of both the creative industry and design by acquiring new skills. I have a strong interest in simplicity and believe it has the power to articulate an idea in a concise, effective manor. I love to explore the use of wit within graphic design. In my opinion, I find that wit allows an idea the chance to create a ‘smile in the mind’.
Projects
  • Protest By Design
Protest By DesignIt's black and white! Climate change is real and it's time to take action! With the global protests and the rise of Extinction Rebellion, there has never been a better time to use creativity to promote and call for change. In response to the crisis, the folks at Glug Events set out to compile the world's largest online database of protest posters, from which anyone access and use. In support, I created four typographic posters which are available from the database.
  • 140 Years of Clacton Lifeboats
140 Years of Clacton LifeboatsTo commemorate the 140th anniversary of my home-town’s lifeboat station, I created a set of stamps and a poster series that detail the station’s first and current lifeboat types.
  • Made By Elves
Made By ElvesDuring my time as an intern at Bournemouth based design agency Parent, I took it upon myself to develop an idea for their Christmas card. After studying their existing stamp mark, I discovered that a simple, witty play on it might just do the trick. I presented the following idea as a parting gift.
  • 75th Anniversary of D-Day
75th Anniversary of D-DayDesigned to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings, this poster was inspired by the famous D-Day stripes used to identify allied aircraft.
  • What A Carve Up!
What A Carve Up!Award winning book jacket design produced for the Penguin Random House Design Awards. I encapsulated the story with a multi-layered design, which combined minimal illustrations and white space.
  • Lock Magazine
Lock MagazineA music magazine that champions female musicians and artists. This is an ongoing project in collaboration with writers and photographers. I have worked on Lock Magazine since its birth, I gave Lock a brand and currently artwork its layout and offer creative direction. If you look closely, you may unlock the logo's secret.

As the Lead Graphic Designer of indie band Surge, my role is to communicate their sound and vision. This includes designing their logo, a variety of their social media content and gig posters when they are required. I have also design the cover artwork for the band's latest singles; one of which was made into a new physical 7" vinyl record.
