I believe journalism has always been a part of me. My dream to be a news broadcaster was developed at a very early age and my ultimate goal is to make that dream a reality. As an aspiring journalist, I have come to the realisation that there are new forms of journalism and as technology develops so does my desire to use the new tools of modern storytelling. The goal is to get my pieces to readers as quickly as possible on whatever platform. As someone who has lived on three different continents, I would like to think that I have experienced a lot of different cultures and lifestyles and I would love for the rest of the world to see this through my journalistic work.

Rainforest café might just be the best place for a family day out. The exotic theme restaurant is located in Piccadilly Circus, about two minutes’ walk away from the station. The Café welcomes you right at the entrance with vibrant colours and sounds designed to recreate the Amazon rain forest. Both the first and second floor are simply a wild place to shop and eat. There are various types of soft toy animals. From birds to reptiles and more. Great souvenirs for a special occasion or a special someone. There is something for both parents and kids. The Café is unique, mind-blowing and a lot of fun. The restaurant is on the bottom floor and walking down the stairs gives the illusion of walking into a jungle. There are bushes, tree branches, and all sorts of birds flying over you. The sounds of the birds and water fall brings the whole atmosphere and surroundings to life. Vision eating in a rain forest with your family. That is literally how it feels like. The restaurant will amaze you with tropical showers, periodic thunder storms and a beautiful blue sky with stars. It is magnificent. There are various rainforest animals such as elephants, monkeys, crocodiles, gorillas and orangutans. All of which have special sound effects that imitate these animals. As fabulous as Rainforest Café sounds and looks, it can get a little bit excessive at times, especially in the restaurant. The special effects of the elephants and gorilla can make you feel nauseous and uncomfortable. Be prepared to deal with cascading waterfalls and periodic thunderstorms while you sip on your drink and dig into your meal. Rainforest Café is perfect for all the family as it has an extensive menu that caters for both adults and children. The food arrives in no time with enough portions that leaves you full and satisfied. Although the food may leave you full, but the prices may leave your pockets empty. Especially the kids’ combo, which consist of four chicken balls, vegetables and fries. To make up for the price, your child receives a café activity pack of a pencil, rubber, ruler, animal stickers, a book and a card game. Overall, the experience is absolutely fun, although a bit too loud at times. But I would definitely recommend it for a day out with the family. It is an experience. One you should not miss out on your trip around London. Ends
