About me

Bo Bannink is a Dutch art director and photographer. Her work varies from fashion photography and commissioned assignments to fine art. Bo creates colourful images with a clear aesthetic identity that is exemplary for her artistic practice. Her work gives a personal insight in the sublime experience caused by the natural environment, erasing a line between the real and the imagined. Slightly inspired by neoclassical paintings, the images she creates attain a universal language that has been stripped from transitory aspects, capturing a pure and timeless moment. Her work has been published in international magazines such as Flanelle, Vanity Teen and Metal amongst others and has been exhibited in various art spaces in Europe. She is currently based in Barcelona, Spain.

SPREAD was born in March 2019 in Rotterdam and curated by graphic designer Janne Beldman and photographer Bo Bannink. Their curiosity towards ‘undiscovered’ talent from different creative fields was the starting point of their independent magazine. SPREAD searches for people with a whole lot of patience to achieve a solid place in the creative industry. The artworld is pretty closed-of and so it’s hard for people to get recognition. A lot of talented creatives struggle with finding their place in this world. SPREAD is looking for these people. The magazine consists out of 8 A2 spread that each feature one artist. The spreads also function as an individual art print.
