Boe (they/she) is a Queer Illustrator of Colour from London. Their work explores themes of sexuality, gender and race; focusing on activism for People of Colour and the LGBTQ+ community. They describe their work as a mix of contemporary illustration with influences from nature, tattoo culture and alternative fashion. Previous clients include Wellcome Collection, Shado.mag, Aardman for Wild in Art & Switchboard LGBTQ+ Helpline.
In 2022, Boe noticed the lack of queer retail spaces and co-founded Ldn Queer Mart. Ldn Queer Mart is a community focused art market event. Ldn Queer Mart champions a diverse community of queer artists and queer-owned small businesses, providing an affordable platform for them to exhibit their work, engage with visitors, share experiences, opportunities, and sell their products.
