About me
My work has always considered the human condition and the relationships we have with ourselves, others and society as a whole. Being initially inspired by advertising media’s portrayal of the male form and the fetishised masculinity it employs; my work is an ongoing exploration of the uncertainties of masculinity as a social construct. Questioning what it means to be a man in today’s society. Looking through the lens of feminism to highlight the fragilities of the ‘masculine masquerade’. My work attempts to challenge toxic masculinity through the expression of emotional feeling and complexity. Using the medium of paint to express a narrative of base emotion and energy, that transcends gender class and race. Recently I have reconnected with digital tools to produce imagery and my work has branched off to include a more illustrative aesthetic.

This role required fine-tuned colour matching skills for the reproduction of fine art pieces for artist clients, reprographics and digital print setting to produce limited edition art prints. Working with clients to produce bespoke outcomes was an integral part of this role and I developed the facility to add high-end spot finishes to the digital prints through screen printing, for clients such as Tom Phillips, who work we produced featured in several Royal Academy shows. My role also included some design work and typesetting for artist promotional material.
