About me
I am a Designer from New Zealand, I have been exploring Europe and have decided to settle in London.
In New Zealand I worked for a few small companies giving me the opportunity to obtain a wide base of experience in the online industry. Specifically, I worked as a designer and front end developer, also doing User Experience and Account Management. In my move to a new work place in London I am looking to focus my experience, progressing my design in print media. Having a background in development, I will retain an understanding of how online media works most efficiently, which will compliment my design process.
Creativity has always been an integral component of my life, during art school I focused on installation and drawing. This has given me a more tangible way of communicating ideas and, when necessary, outside the confines of a computer screen. When I am not working my interest in art and design continues, often practicing lettering, drawing and doing odd jobs for friends and family.
Projects
- Yoga LeafletThe client asked for something playful to stand apart from other yoga studios. She wanted this leaflet to reflect her relaxed classes which were held in natural surroundings. The hand drawn lettering was intended to be the focal point, highlighted by a water colour effect to give it a fun and friendly feel. The client was very happy with how this design reflected her practice and her personality.
- Kristen & Sean's WeddingThe client wanted a design with a bohemian and classical feel. The invites were letter pressed on brown card and tied with a brown string and bohemian lace. Hand drawn lettering and lace teamed with structured text and formatting fulfilled the clients requirements leaving them really excited for their wedding.
- Made MediaMade Media was a startup company who needed an online dashboard to sell advertising space in a digital capacity. Their main point of difference was their process was to be entirely digital. I worked closely with the client to create the process required for both customer orders and his own dashboard. This project was particularly focused on UX and design.
