To diagnose your oven, it’s important to make sure your oven is turned off and the door is closed. Place a flashlight near the bottom of the oven to be sure all parts are visible. Then, open the door and check for frosting or dirt inside.
If you see frosting or dirt on the inside of your oven, that means there is moisture inside, which can cause parts to wear out faster. You can remove this moisture by wiping down the entire interior of the oven with a warm cloth. If you have an electric stove, check if there are any burned-out lights. If so, replace them while you still have power.
