About me

Bryn Chainey is freelance director and editor with over ten years' experience. He has worked in fiction, documentary, music videos and TVC. His commercial clients include Disney, Mercedes, Toyota, Sydney Opera House, Cancer Council, and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. His fiction films have screened in numerous Oscar-qualifying festivals including the Berlinale, Edinburgh, Rhode Island, and Palm Springs. He's directed music videos for independent and major record labels including Morr Music and Universal. He's currently based in the south of England and is available for freelance screenwriting, directing and editing work all over the country.

Projects

• The Father of RodentsA short documentary I directed & edited about indie wrestling in Australia. Had its premiere at the 2021 St Kilda Film Festival. Financed through a successful Kickstarter campaign.
• The Rabbit TrapThis is a feature-length psychological horror film that I’m making with SpectreVision (Mandy, Color Out Of Space). The screenplay received development support from Ffilm Cymru Wales.
• BuzzA short film I’m making with Andrew Brand of Bad Studio, an independent animation studio based in London. The project is one of four winners at the 2021 Kaboom Animation Festival which will has received development support from the European Space Agency’s New Worlds initiative.
