About me
I am the artist and producer behind Bryony&Bloom, an artist studio creating public installations, interventions and experiences that invite a deeper exploration of the natural world, and our relationship with it. From street art and oil paintings to exhibitions and wild drawing walks, the studio practice intersects art, science and history to create immersive, inclusive and inspiring encounters with nature. The studio combines my visual art practice with my experience of exhibition-making within the fields of social history and science to develop innovative approaches to public engagement with nature. My experience of delivering interpretation strategies within a wide variety of complex settings has developed an approach to visual storytelling that is people-centred, participatory and pragmatic. From women’s suffrage and Outsider art exhibitions in the Houses of Parliament to public health murals connecting hospitals with train stations, and from genomic soundscapes in the UK’s largest science lab to way-finding signage in the middle of rainforest, the studio produces public realm encounters that are bold, expressive and steeped in narrative. It is of particular interest to work beyond the traditional gallery setting, producing and co-producing within unexpected spaces so as to reach new audiences, foster new connections and create new stories.

Hidden Credit to London, International Women's DayMayor of London
On International Women’s Day 2019, I was delighted to be part of a group of women recognised by the Mayor of London as ‘Hidden Credits’ - women who are making great contributions across the city. This initiative was part of the Greater London Authority’s #behindeverygreatcity campaign, marking the 100 years since women won the right to vote in the UK.
