About me
As recent graduate from Manchester Fashion Institute, I have been educated on innovation, originality, and endurance. Completing modules including business studies, design manifestations, CAD skills, illustration, concept, fabric, colour, and style boards. With the technical studies involving garment construction, Gerber, Clo3D, pattern cutting, draping, industrial machinery, and digital printing.
As a young designer, inspired by current global events, I enjoy challenging stereotypical ideas. I enjoy doing this by seeing patterns within my surroundings, that are otherwise unseen. I aspire to create original, exciting pieces that speak for themselves, yet hold an element of mystery that leaves clients wanting more.

Design PlacementLucky monday
London, United KingdomFull Time
During my placement opportunity at Lucky Monday, a leading knitwear and woven design supplier, I completely immersed myself within the design process. The original contract with Lucky Monday was three months, however having my contract extended twice throughout the year, this allowed me to continue with the education I desired. Throughout this experience, the daily tasks consisted of assisting the senior designer with the design process, CAD’s for clients, creating trend reports for client meetings, designing graphic prints for leading high-street brands, liaising with factories overseas and clients just to name a few!
Although the time frame of this placement was throughout numerous lockdowns, due to Covid-19, the Managing Director presented me with the opportunity to continue with working throughout each lockdown. This would consist of attending the office daily, whilst my colleagues worked through a skeleton rota. During this period, I was tasked with merchandising issues, technical issues, general running of the office, as well as having to continuously be improving the design aspect of my career. Having to throw myself at this task headfirst, I was taught so much, as my other colleagues relied on me so heavily to continue with the running of the office. Due to working with a different colleague each day, this allowed me to become friends with each individual, even greater than before, this then led me to absorb every aspect of the design process as I would comfortably, and confidentiality ask questions.
Reflecting on this placement, and the huge improvements I have made towards my future career, I feel excited to begin the next opportunity and to continue to learn. Having to constantly change ideas and styles numerous times throughout the day, due to having such a range of clientele, really allowed my design aesthetic to mature as I had to be consistent, original and versatile - I now pride myself on working well under pressure. Witnessing my designs being bought by brands that I have been inspired by throughout my career is a dream come true, and I hope to continue this in the near future.

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Manchester Fashion Institute
Manchester, United Kingdom
The depth of knowledge I have experienced during my time on this course, BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Technology, has been excellent. With my main area of study being menswear and print design, I have combined innovative designs with a great knowledge of the technical aspect of manufacturing and digital technologies. During my time spent here I have worked on live projects with brands and have had the opportunity to undertake a year in industry. I have also had the opportunity to undertake business studies during each year, which I have been awarded a first grade for.
To continue, I have been presented with the opportunity of pattern cutting, Gerber, Clo3D, innovative design process - all of which I have immured myself within. It’s during this time that my work ethic has grown stronger with each year, and I am now extremely dedicated. I truly believe that each year I have improved within myself and my confidence to continue within my design career is constantly growing.
