    Marketing and Design CoordinatorBig Chill
    London, United KingdomFull Time
Working as in-house marketing and design coordinator in the Big Chill group, I improved my design skills and engrained myself in an established and respected company. During this time I developed my food and drink photography and worked alongside many creative people and brands. Results: Managed the daily social media, graphic design and marketing material for the brand and both sites. Ran successful influencer marketing campaigns and worked on brand collaborations to create content for events such as Polar Monkey’s craft beer takeover, Jagermeister’s winter roof terrace, 8O8 Whisky tastings as well as a beer collaboration with Brixton Brewery. Implemented social strategies and created unique content for social growth. Worked with Junction Studios to rebrand the entire image of the company. Strategies: Maintained social calendars and generated reports with the use of social analytics tools. Conducted photoshoots for drinks, food and venues on a regular basis. Took part in hands on event work during brand collaborations and events. Engaged in daily communication with customers through social media, blog posts and review sites.

    Social Media MangerChick 'N' Sours
    London, United KingdomFull Time
Beginning as a part time job to fund my studies I created my own role in the company driven by desire to gain experience in the areas that I am passionate about, social media, marketing and brand development. Voted the 16th best restaurant in London in TimeOut’s Top 100 Restaurants last year and I believe the marketing plays an important part in that. Results: Grew Instagram followers from 2,500 to over 12,800. Developed a community of locals and influencers to engage with the brand on a regular basis. Received over 323,000 tweet impressions for a single twitter campaign. #CNSBLOWOUT Chick ’N’ Sours became trending on twitter in London from a campaign leading up to a launch party. New products launched and promoted leading to being featured in online and print publications such as TimeOut, ShortList and MrHyde. Strategies: Had total control of the social media marketing for the restaurants, driving engagement, experimenting with new campaigns and creating content based around all aspects of the business. Worked closely with owners and operators to create marketing strategies that drove sales, increased average spend per head and brought in more customers. Organised monthly product launches solely driven by social media to create regular attention for the brand so to be seen as innovators. Ran regular contests that drove audience to interact with the brand in different ways, from sharing our content, creating their own while in the restaurant and taking part in active competitions across London. Personally shot and edited videos and photos for social media channels to create low cost content that was engaging and relevant to the business.

Studying Web Media at Ravensbourne allowed me to work on a range of interdisciplinary projects, from building e-commerce sites for clothing brands with Fashion students to reporting on the Mozilla Festival with a team of journalists, I got to regular work with different groups of creative people and develop my project management skills. One of the projects that sparked my interest in marketing was creating a experimental activation for Desperados from a brief I chose for the D&AD New Blood awards in which I created a two-person festival wristband that combined a physical activity and social media competition set over a series of London music festivals, designed to encourage connecting with new people while at the festival and sharing your experience online. I found that developing and pitching my idea from scratch and experimenting with promoting a brand to be really exciting and I want to continue working in this industry and be part of a creative team.
