Set DresserLast year I mostly worked as a Set Dresser for the QVC Shopping Channel Design and Display team. My responsibilities involved dressing and styling high end homes for promo shoots, displays plus studio sets, as well as procurement of dress items and maintenance in the workshop. I have gained much experience and understanding in the value of visual merchandising whilst at QVC. I get a real sense of satisfaction knowing that my dressing of a product or interior has increased sales because the customer can identify themselves within it. I am used to working with all departments from the Designers, Stock Controllers to our guests/clients such as Kelly Hoppen, Lori Griener and Collier Campbell. I enjoyed working closely with the Design and Display team planning and creating seasonal new looks for the studios or a specific product.
  • Set Dresser at QVC
Set Dresser at QVCMy job as a set dresser at QVC required me to both dress the backgrounds of the sets used, and also provide the furniture and set ups needed for shows. I worked closely with a team of floor assistants to create a space for each hour long show which had the correct aesthetic and feel for the product being sold. As I was working in live television, I have been able to perfect my ability to work under pressure and learned to plan each ten hour shift as soon as I started in order to have each show s

    FounderRed Falcon Theatre
    Ramsgate, United KingdomFull Time
Myself and a colleague founded Red Falcon Theatre in the Summer of 2017. As former students of Theatre, we realised that within the East Kent area, there was a distinct lack of children's theatre companies that put the children having fun at the forefront of their aims. As such, we set up stage schools in the summer of 2017, within a local community school as part of our community outreach. The purpose of these stage-schools was to allow children to contribute as much or as little as they wanted. This became the foundation of my directorial approach. I most recently directed in our pantomime at the start of the year, where I directed both adults and children in a pantomime I'd written. There was a lot of crying, shouting, and tantrums, and the children were bad too. The shows I wrote and directed were performed to audiences of over 200 people, and were incredibly popular. A primary reason for this is the means in which I was able to motivate the cast to put in as much effort as possible. Due to the production being a pantomime, we actively encourage people to improvise things in and get involved. As a result, they felt included, the learned their lines better and it made them want to actively contribute as much as possible. I incorporated my passion for film and television into Red Falcon, and established myself as a popular and efficient videographer, having recorded and edited live performances for established theatre groups, teasers and promotional material . This role gave me a comprehensive knowledge of Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. Additionally, I created, edited and submitted scripts for Red Falcon’s stage performances that were prolific enough that they gained audiences of over 200 people per showing. These scripts include: -The Wizard of Oz -Snow White -Sleeping Beauty

    Creative ProducerLive Rail Comedy Club
    Broadstairs, United KingdomFreelance
In January 2017, myself and another comedian started Live Rail Comedy Club in East Kent. Since then, it has grown to become the most successful comedy night in the area, with comedians of all levels of success performing there. My duties whilst with Live Rail have been primarily marketing based. I developed the logo and social media channels. I have established a social media strategy, established and maintained KPI's and overseen various digital campaigns, as well as posting regularly and appropriately to its social media platforms in accordance with the strategy. I also network with agents and recruit comedians for the event. During the event, I often act as photographer and videographer, and, as a stand-up comedian, I have hosted and often perform in the events myself.
