About me

I have recently moved back to London. I have recently completed a years Masters course in Fine art Painting at Glasgow School of Art. Whilst working on completing my course in Glasgow I was very pro-active, through curating and helping to install shows, to gaining experience through an internship at Mary Mary, a contemporary art gallery. Before coming to Glasgow I was in Brighton, at University of Brighton for three years completing my BA in Fine Art Painting also. Then prior to that I completed my foundation diploma year at Central St Martins. I am an active person who sees them self as driven, polite, and has a good sense of humour. My confidence around and talking in front of people is key to my practice within selling my work, but it is also a great skill to have in day to day life, and in most jobs. Working in catering before going to university definitely helped what was already a confidence that I had in me.

I was working with the installation team for the summer show that happens yearly at one of the galleries in Somerset House. This included hanging work through manual labour .

In this role I was working with the contemporary gallery to complete paper work that needs to be made after the sale of any work to any client, I was updating the website, and editing images that had come through from the photographer. I was also a key figure in making sure that artists profiles were up to date on the system, as well as a number of times helping the gallery to open up and close. I was working at the gallery during GI (Glasgow International ) which is a big arts base festival in Glasgow. I helped the gallery curate the show for that event , as well as organising sections of the after party.
