Art AsssitantXaverian College
- Manchester, United KingdomFull Time
At Xaverian College I was the Art Assistant for the Art and Design Department across 4 A-level and 1 Foundation courses. I provided extra curricular support for both students and staff throughout a range of creative skills. Frequently my role required me to utilise my art criticism to make academic decisions to benefit, inspire and promote creative development. I would provide work-shop seasons in screen printing, black and white print processes, art theory and 35mm photographic practice.
Alongside this, I would manage the flow of materials per topic, ensuring that all classrooms are sufficiently equipped. I would use Microsoft programmes to organise the budget in terms of product used, cost and popularity.

Photographer & Diary AssistantVenture Photography
- Stockport, United KingdomFull Time
Throughout this role I used my creative abilities to independently shoot up to 20 shoots per week. I would tailor and curate each shoot to be entirely unique for my clients and ensuring I met their needs. During the post-production I would edit and retouch using the Adobe Creative Suite programmes and would present them back to my clients through a showreel. This process would take me roughly 90 minutes and I would have a turn over of images into shows of about 4 shows per working day.
In addition to this I would also work with the diary team, booking clients, arranging the diary and answering customer enquiries. This aspect of my role would require me to communicate both verbally and in written forms.

Education
MA Art and Visual CultureUniversity of Westminster
London, United Kingdom
The interdisciplinary, visual theory-based course is established around the belief that visual literacy and the impact of visual forms of thinking and working play significant roles in our society. . Predominantly focussing my attention to the depiction of ethnic minorities and power structures of socioeconomics. I am interrogating the impact of current visual perceptions through the media, journalism and literature. Overall with the goal to create context, conclusion and meaning to the ways in which visual culture are antidotes to our society.

My First Class Batchelors of Arts degree allowed me to conduct a photographic response to my experiences of identity. Throughout my degree I analysed both the photographic discipline and art theory surrounding the prose of identity and structures of social form. Publishing a photographic journal as a memoir of my late Grandfather allowed me to express the relationship and romanticised attachment to place. In connection to my photographic practice I also wrote an academic piece regarding the way in which anthropologic discourse is referenced when photography the black and working class minorities of the UK.
