About me

I’m CJ Pater, and I’m a London-based designer. My specialised areas are graphics, illustration and multimedia but I have skills in a variety of mediums and styles. I set out on my design journey when I was very young and initially embarked on a course at my local college in window dressing and props design; I love to make things! A couple of years later, upon finishing school I completed a foundation degree in Graphics and Multimedia and then went on to achieve a degree in BA (Hons) Graphic Design. Growing up I was always the fixer. When things broke in my house I spent a lot of time putting things back together or inventing new ways to make it work! Then I got a computer and my mind was blown! This is when I knew I wanted to be a part of the forever evolving design world. I love the feeling of creating things as my mind runs on a visual level all the time. What I love about being a designer is taking an idea and telling the world a visual story by making that idea become a form of reality. As a designer I feel like there is always room to grow and develop new skills, so I’m constantly experimenting and perfecting new techniques by exploring and adventuring the fields of design, there is no finish line. Apart from my love of creativity, I’m a craft beer connoisseur, serial gamer, summer skateboarder, Saturday morning cartoon junkie (still), sneaker collector, NFL watcher and a snapback on fleek kinda gal.
