About me
I am a self directed fashion designer, global fashion influencer, and international fashion and art blogger. Currently I am studying at The International Fashion Academy (IFA Paris) in Paris, France. My aim is to become a creative director where I will be able to work with luxury brands, educate sustainable fashion, and promote global culture influence. In the past four years I have had the opportunity to travel all around the world. Because of my international travel experience and my travel itineraries being focused on art and fashion marketplaces, my relationship with textiles and design is extensive. In my travel itineraries I make a point to visit art and fashion museums and fashion market places in order to broaden my understanding of the history of costume and fashion design. In Hoi An, Vietnam I had the opportunity to stay at the Silk Village where I learned how they cultivate silk in order to create silk thread and weave silk textiles from the ground up. In Rome I attended the opera to study the costumes and stage design. In Paris and Madrid I frequented historically influencing museums such as the El Prado, El Reina Sofia, and the Louvre, where I analyzed and studied the exhibits and special collections. During my time in Shanghai I explored District M50, a hidden gem of art studios and exhibits. Amidst getting lost in the art maze I was able to discuss with designers about their process and their stories. In Shenzhen, China I have had the opportunity to learn more about the production and business side of the fashion industry such as sourcing fabric, as they are a hub for global production. While in Tokyo, Seoul, and Naples, I seized the moment to get into my fashion photography for street fashion styles. In Morocco, particularly in Chefchaouen, also known as the “Blue City,” I explored the many textile markets and learned about the textile dyeing process. This is only a very tiny portion of my research and engagement in the fashion and arts industry.
