About me
Spanish Art Historian, Fashion Stylist, Researcher and Curator formerly working as a Junior Fashion Product Stylist at Mytheresa.com and now working as a Museologist/Curator at the IMAL, the printing press and arts of the book museum in Madrid. After an amazing childhood in Lanzarote (Canary Islands, Spain), my family and I moved to Madrid, where I then studied Art History at Complutense University in Madrid. I graduated with a project based on Madrid's subcultures from the early 70s until the beginning of the 80s. I then went and did an internship at the costume and fashion museum (Museo del Traje. CIPE, Madrid). Following I went to Florence to do my Masters in Fashion Styling at Polimoda. After leaving Mytheresa in February 2020, I came back to Madrid, where I am currently based.

As a curator, I first came up with the concept of the exhibition, which was a tribute to the history of fashion in Madrid over the last 100 years, in the form of a digital exhibition. It followed year-long research of both the content and images present in the online display. The content was the result of my research through primary and secondary sources; a study of magazines was essential and revealing, as well as the many interviews with professionals and experts. The photographs were selected from public archives, private ones as well as from libraries and particulars, which was an enriching experience and helped me develop my understanding of the work archives do. I wrote all the texts and content of the exhibition and I conducted the interviews that appear in each decade. I also worked very closely with the Graphic Design team, directing them in the display of the content. In addition, I had duties such as clearing images and communications tasks. https://madridshines.com/
