About me
I am currently a Junior Designer at HQ and Mills & Boon imprints at HarperCollins Publishers UK. I design book covers for HQ, HQ Digi, and Mills & Boon as well as creating marketing and publicity assets.

  • Occupation Zine
    Occupation ZineA 24 page zine that brings attention to the struggles the people of Jersey lived through during the Nazi occupation in World War Two. The zine uses entries from a diary account written during the War, and images from the Jersey Archives. The editorial captures an important part of Jersey's history; using a colour palette that is limited to 5 colours, I used blue and red as main colours to draw attention to important parts of the narrative. This was created as one of my final major projects over

    Similar to my internship with the same design team, I took on more responsibility within the team. As well as working on marketing and publicity images, I carried on creating cover designs for HQ Digi - creating covers for a 3 book series. I also worked on book proofs, and created full layouts. I also added treatments to book designs before sending them to production.

    A year study abroad in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I took a range of classes that included colour theory, poster design, visual identity and branding, and graphic narrative. In addition to my studio classes, I expanded my knowledge and took introduction to computer programming; learning the basics of C++, Python, and Swift. Outside of study, I represented the University in road cycling; travelling out of state to compete with the team.

    Studied a range of skills, focussing more in the realm of print-ready design, and publishing. Final year projects included a 24 page zine that looked at the effects of the Nazi Occupation on the island of Jersey, as well as book cover design for competition briefs. I was selected to exhibit at the 2018 D&AD New Blood Design Festival.
