Aim: To improve accuracy of tunnel design process and reduce cost of damage mitigation measures.
• Worked with academic supervisors and lab technicians to design and build scale tunnelling laboratory machine for modelling tunnel construction stress and risk.
• Awarded 100% studentship grant covering fees and maintenance (£73,000+).
• Won 2021 Turner Prize for innovation in centrifuge modelling (£1,000).
• Selected to present research at conferences in June 2020 (Shepheard et al., 2021) and September 2021 (Shepheard et al., 2022) (both postponed due to Covid).

• Elected to represent the interests of Lightweight Women to the club coaches and board.
• Collaborated with coaches to successfully implement our vision for the future of the squad as the top lightweight women’s rowing program in the country, proven at 2022 nationals.
• Lead a varied squad consisting of athletes who have competed internationally to those who learned to row within last two years.
