I am a freelance theatre-maker and producer based in the West Midlands. As a theatre-maker, I am interested in contemporary circus, physical theatre, outdoor spectacle performance, cabaret and drag. I am interested in staging work in unusual spaces, queer spaces and works that range from the small and intimate to the large and spectacular. As a freelance producer, I am proficient in project management, cultural business strategy, PR and marketing strategy, budget management and relationship building. LYNNEBEC is a performance collective lead by Catherine Butler and Jessica Barber. We make work that is highly visual, energetic and draws on our shared interests in pop-culture, contemporary circus/dance, site-responsive performance, and live/visual arts. It's characterised by themes of connection, queerness, identity, movement and humour.

Provided directorial support to Adam Carver in the creation of 'Fantabulosa!', a touring queer-positive participatory family drag show encompassing interactive storytelling, lipsync, performance, dress-up, games and original songs. Assisted as a Stage Manager for the first performance at 'Summer in Southside' at Birmingham Hippodrome.
Provided marketing and PR support to Sarah-Jane Watkinson for Sleepwalk Collective's UK premiere of 'Kourtney Kardashian', the final part of their trilogy of performances around high art and celebrity. Performed at Battersea Arts Centre, Axis Arts Centre and HOME Manchester.
2 Month contract to assist with the delivery of the 2017 SHOUT Festival, Birmingham's festival of Queer arts and culture. Main duties included project management and marketing and PR support.
- Responsible for creating and implementing the festival's PR, marketing and social media campaign - Was the face of press and media communications for the festival, responsible for contacting local and national press such as The Guardian and BBC Midlands - Demonstrated excellent communication skills necessary for clear and sensitive feedback for the festival's Spanish graphic designers - Adept at remote working or within small teams often working within tight deadlines - Proven copywriting skills and strong attention to detail necessary for the creation of a 36 pg Festival brochure
Successful applicant to the University of Birmingham's 2016 Cultural Internship Scheme. My 5-month placement was with Creative Learning and Creative Projects teams at Birmingham Hippodrome. During this time, I worked as an assistant producer on the team that delivered Chinese New Year 2017 Celebrations.
