I am studying Fashion Marketing at Falmouth University and am in my final year. I am now actively looking for graduate roles to continue building my career in a creative commercial role after my graduation in the summer of 2023.
The current state of the high street fascinates and saddens me but I love the potential it holds, the possibilities of what the empty shops could become. They have the ability to create communities and evoke curiosity, making town centers vibrant again. Encouraging people to connect in the physical world and take time away from the ever-increasing digital world that so easily surrounds us with automation, hybrid working, and social media.
Curating events and immersive experiences in physical high-street venues excites me, considering how they can provide more compelling and emotionally durable experiences for consumers and their local communities.
Fashion is one of the biggest polluters in the world and therefore needs to become more sustainable, and I also enjoy learning about new technologies that enable more circular fashion practices. Investigating how psychological factors impact our shopping habits interests me and how providing more emotionally durable experiences can eliminate some of our desire to consume things and replace that with spending time engaging with people through experiences.
