Hello! My name is Catherine, but most people call me Cat!
I am a graduate of 2020 with a BA(Hons) in Illustration.
I focused mainly in Children's Book Illustration and I dream of one day having my own Children's Book!
But for now, I run my own Etsy store selling a range of different products, from Prints, to Stickers to even Birthday Cards!

Projects
- Character Studies From MediaAs a way to explore different styles, I often study and attempt to recreate frames and poses of different animated characters. These characters are either from 2D or 3D media and have been really helpful at teaching how to draw expressions, explore shape and even finding new ways to colour. Everything I have learnt from doing this, whether it be big or small, or even habits picked up in muscle memory, has been used in all new work following each study.
- Wolf Character Studies and DesignFor a children's book I am currently writing, I needed to figure out how to draw wolves in a style I was happy and comfortable with, so I turned to previous examples of wolves from media that I look to in order to help build a basic body shape and design. The big poofy tails and fluffy chest helps give them a more 'wild' look, but I do also like the sleek fur to help give a more childish and friendly look to them.
- OutFoxedOutfoxed is a wordless children’s picture book/comic that I began writing and creating preliminary illustrations in my second year of university. It follows the story of a young fox a they try to escape the foxhounds that are currently trying to hunt our fox friend. You can see snippets of the story in 5 fully illustrated pages.

Whilst my main role is customer adviser, I also hold the position of 'Well-being Champion'. This means I attend meetings concerning colleague welfare as well as general business updates and events. I maintain an updates board to help inform the colleagues in my store of all latest information, which also allows me to have some fun and creative freedom with decorating it and arranging it to make it as eye catching as possible.
