    Texture and Maximalism for interiorsFinal MA collection, looking at texture as a 2d and 3d entity in combination with maximalism. Bringing back the idea that 'more is more' within interiors, using bold colours, sumptuous fabrics and tactile surfaces.

    - MA In textile design, achieving a distinction. - Specialisms within the MA were print for textiles, both digital and by hand processes for all textile sectors. - The final collection entitled ‘Texture and maximalism’ exploring the idea that ‘more is more’ within interiors. - The collection was showcased using many soft furnishings including: wallpapers, cushions, fabrics and upholstery. - Throughout the year I expanded my knowledge of screenprinting, both on fabrics and paper. Including inks and pastes, and embellishment techniques such as flocking, foiling and devore. - Fully able to devise repeat patterns from concept to final product.
