About me

Transform the existing into different forms is the core system of my design, which is extremely interested in narrative-based visual practices. Taking sources from the lands I grew up in and bringing these sources to where I inhabit now has always been my main source of inspiration when creating.

  Unidentifiable Self SearchingAs with many true identities in the geography of Turkey, all forgotten or repressed, but, either way, waiting to be discovered, 'Unidentifiable Self Searching', in the form of almost a ritual, is the process of the one searching for its minority sub-identity.

  Stories Coming Out Of The VaginaAs our aim is to say a direct no to slut-shaming, we decided to build a mechanism to encourage as many women as possible to make their voices heard. Whole stories manifested themselves in an installation in the form of a vagina and it, as our most substantial exhibit somehow surpassed the barriers of nationality and ethnicity, as well as the language, and which, in an absolute sense, created a link and support mechanism between the women.
• Alternative AnkaraNot geographically, in an exact way, but politically, Ankara is the very centre of Turkey. It pretends to be one of these dull cities where only the policy of the agenda can generate a reputation. From its residents’ perspective, especially on occasions when defending the city against Istanbulites, only if one was born there can it become a place that can fully perceived. • We’re Gonna Hug *Everyone* / *Herkesi* KucaklayacagızThe overly used political slogan used by any party having different opinions in Turkey, 'Herkesi Kucaklayacağız' (in English: We're Gonna Hug Everyone), pops up. This slogan aims to embrace everyone equally, regardless of their culture, religion, race or differences; but there have been, and will be, outsiders from the past to the present. The existence of the outsiders is proof of how utopian the saying is. The question is: What if liminal identities stuck in liminal psychology were literally
• Things We Do Need To Know'Things We Do Need To Know' was created by interacting with the addressees of these secret slurs, forming itself in three stages, with 20 personas and a script of imaginary dialogues in an informative meeting and performative presentation of a script.
