Hey there! I'm Cerys and I am a contemporary 2D illustrator and animator based in Bournemouth, UK. I create my digital illustrations with a playful visual language using limited colour palettes to stand out. I enjoy using different lines, textures, and colours to render my final illustrations and combining these elements digitally in my compositions. I use these methods to produce illustrations for narratives, animation, editorials, zines, surface patterns, and products. The resulting work demonstrates a contemporary illustrative visual language to engage my audience.
Taking inspiration from the world and people around me, has allowed me to develop an expanding cast of characters. I have a particular interest in twisting the mundane and everyday moments in life, often taking a light-hearted and humorous manner in my work. I like to explore surreal events and character interactions where the unexpected may happen, as I am fascinated by the weird and wonderful!
