About me
My creative ambitions have honoured me incredible opportunities that have influenced my hopes for a career within the creative industries. Growing up I loved to sing, dance and act and landed my first acting role at 4 years old for the internationally renowned tv show Peppa Pig. I was lucky enough to work on the show until I was 12 years old as the voice of Wendy Wolf. All the while still having my passion within performing parts my interest in the wider world of the creative industries has grown during my time attending Global Academy. Throughout my time as a student here I have developed a further understanding into other progressive career paths, my most intriguing being Digital Marketing.
Over the past few years while the world of social media continues to grow, I like most other Gen Z and Millennials become a self-taught creative across the available social media platforms. Whether it was filming and editing my own singing videos for YouTube, creating content for TikTok's and Instagram content ,I quickly realised that social media is a powerful tool for marketing. During my Advertising and Marketing module I had to create a marketing campaign for a brand collaboration. This helped me learn a lot about target audiences and all the key marketing digital strategies required to make a brand successful. Another module I enjoyed was Youth’s Choice – Global’s very own student led Radio station. For this I had to create content for the official Youth’s Choice Tiktok account, I chose to centre the content on celebrity culture and used Premier Pro to edit it. After having created the content I had to check the Analytics and devise ways to broaden engagement across the platform for future content.
My time in Education at Global academy has been insightful and has really broadened my outlook on the available career paths for me. My ambitious nature has meant that I have taken up any opportunity possible thus far, like helping at the Global Audio Awards as a runner which was a fun experience to volunteering for The Black Fund as a Content Creator– a charitable organisation Founded by Leigh-Anne Pinnock that works to empower Minority Communities across the UK. As I now approach the end of my UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media and Technology , I am now seeking opportunities to undertake an apprenticeship or internship within an establishment where I can develop my skills and knowledge within Digital Marketing.
