About me
Working as a freelancer for 4+ years in production for independent filmmakers, Chantelle's experience spans micro and mini productions coordinating teams of 15+ individuals right through the value chain from development to distribution. Chantelle has experience in production assisting, research and coordination. Her expertise lies specifically in developing portfolios of emerging filmmakers, focusing on impact, branding, marketing and building partnerships with external stakeholders for financing and impact purposes. Notably, recently recognised by We are Parable x Channel 4 in their 2022 Fillmakers accelerator mentorship programme.     →2022 - Current: Impact Producer for a multidisciplinary festival working alongside Filmmaker Sherry Davis (in partnership with the National Museum of Kenya and The Horniman Museum funded by Arts Council England). Featuring the private screening of the film ODE TO THE ANCESTORS, I am designing and carrying out the execution of all elements of an Impact Campaign Including but not limited to: 1) Creating Impact Strategy 2) Creating Project Timeline including key activations 3)Researching key partners, stakeholders and organisations for the impact campaign 4)Pitching, securing and managing key partner/stakeholder and organisation relationships that will directly benefit the festival and its impact aims 5)Measuring and reporting on the success of impact activations ------------------------------------------------------------------ →2021 - Current: As Producer, I am working alongside Director Chimaobim Nathan, and his production company "The Crossing Chicken" (latest film acquired for BBC3’s Festival of Funny on a slate) to produce and build out a unique direct-to-audience distribution and impact model with the view to achieve three objectives: 1) Building audience and partnerships around thematic issue-led stories. 2) Raise Industry Profile 3) Develop his Directorial and Writing Skills. ------------------------------------------------------------------ →2020-2021: Working alongside Skins actress turned writer and Director Larrisa Hope I worked as a production/development assistant for the development of her Debut Feature, SHIFT a psychological urban drama focusing on mental health within the black male population. 1) Researched and developed a talent pool database of 20+ prospective partners and crew for audience building and impact. 2) Devised a content schedule with content ideas for social platforms and audience engagement. 3) Organising and documenting weekly development update meetings
