About me
Radio Presenter and Host from East London, passionate about equality and driving positive change within the local and wider community through creative projects and events. Charley's radio career began in 2011 with her first broadcast on a pirate radio station in 2012. To date she has produced radio shows that provide a platform for those who often feel unheard and unseen which is a nod to her desire to inspire self-belief in others. Charley joined FLEX FM radio (101.4fm) in May 2021. She presents 'Brunch with Charley' on Wednesdays, 10am to 12pm. Over the span of her career, she has interviewed Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones, Fast and Furious), Louisa Lytton (EastEnders, The Bill, Strictly Come Dancing), Courttia Newland (Playwright/Author), Eve-Yasmine (Singer-Songwriter/Actress), Mista Strange (UK Rapper), Dante the Kid (Producer), Ola Christian (Founder of Levile TV) and Roxanne Parrish (ITV reality show The Cabins). In February 2022 Charley had the opportunity to host her very first Red Carpet Awards Ceremony in East London for the London Borough of Newham. The event celebrated the efforts of local youth to raise awareness of mental health in young people. Charley is quite energetic and has enough vim to give anybody a mood shake. She has the ability to find the light at the end of any murky tunnel, just put her to the test!

I produced Brunch with Charley, a show with a healthy dose of all things fun, engaging, and uplifting during a 2-hour slot, to the backdrop of feel-good music. Featuring a guest often from a non-privileged background, the show was informative and laid back, included a Happy News Report and received lots of interaction from dedicated listeners. Main responsibilities: research guests and topics for programmes • book guests, prepare agreement forms • book studio time and equipment • type scripts • produce programme logs and running orders • operate technical studio equipment to play pre-recorded items • archive programme material • arrange and send out competition prizes
